Mary Stone is the author if Mythology of Touch and One Last Cigarette and the chapbooks The Dopamine Letters and Honey and Bandages (co-written with Katie Longofono), Blink Finch and Aching Buttons. Her poetry and prose has appeared or is forthcoming in Gargoyle, South Dakota Review, Mid-American Review, Menacing Hedge, Tinderbox, Decomp, and other journals. She is the recipient of the 2011 Langston Hughes Award in poetry and the 2012 AWP Intro Journals Award. After receiving her MFA in Poetry from the University of Kansas, she moved back to her hometown of St. Joseph, MO, where she teaches Composition and coordinates the First Thursdays poetry open mic reading series.
