Lone is an ode to suburbia and all the girls who grow up in these beautiful yet isolating slivers of the world. In Lone, girls write their own alternative lives, make friends with the natural environment, test and steal new names, and wander through memories before they escape them.

About the Author
Dana Blatte is a teenage writer from Massachusetts. Her work has been published in The Shore, Fractured Lit, Up the Staircase Quarterly, and more, and has been recognized by YoungArts, The New York Times, and the Pulitzer Center, among others. She is an alumna of the 2021 Adroit Mentorship, the Iowa Young Writers’ Studio, and the Alpha Young Writers Workshop. Besides writing, she loves illustration, linguistics, and honey almond butter.
