Praise for The Reasons We Had to Meet

“The Reasons We Had to Meet gives you Manhattan as character. The monolith of it, the way it breathes, the contrast in its glitterati to the aged foundations it’s built upon. The way it inevitably finds itself over and over again, just like the characters that move within it and across. Morris captures that feeling of possibility and risk a city gives us: new love, reinvention, communion with the past, and, at the end of it all, the leaving.”

—Salena Casha, author

“Morris’s writing is both enigmatic and accessible. His stories are threaded with a longing and whimsy that feels familiar.”

—Natalie Pinter, author
