Katherine MacCue is a graduate of The George Washington University where she majored in the broadly themed Program in the Liberal Arts. This way, she able to immerse herself in diverse fields of study, from Religion to Philosophy, Poetry to Chemistry. It was poetry, however, that had the greatest effect on her. Her work has since been been featured in various journals including decomP, Emerge Literary Journal, scissors & spackle, Stone Highway Review, and Midwestern Gothic.
